50 Years of Positive Impact

Vice President
Corporate Social Responsibility
and Sustainability
Over the past five decades, RGA has grown into the leading global life and health reinsurer, and a respected steward of the insurance industry. As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration, RGA and the RGA Foundation are supporting more than 50 organizations around the world to demonstrate RGA's historic and ongoing commitment to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
Our anniversary celebrates 50 years of purpose, progress, partnership, and positive impact. All of that is exemplified through RGA’s focus on engaging in our communities to promote longer and more fulfilling lives by:
- ensuring financial protection for millions of people worldwide
- standing by social commitments with actions and accountability
- believing in responsible investing
- maintaining a culture of volunteerism and charitable giving
“This year, we celebrate 50 years since our founding. We are proud of the impact that we have made and are extremely grateful for the trust that our clients, partners, and employees have placed in RGA throughout the last half century. It is our great privilege to mark this occasion by supporting organizations nominated by our employees that are making a difference in our communities around the world.”
Anna Manning, President and Chief Executive Officer, RGA
On January 2, we announced that during 2023 RGA will contribute $500,000 to 50 charitable organizations around the globe. We will distribute funds to organizations nominated by employees from our various offices, demonstrating our ongoing support of the communities in which we operate. Because of the company and its charitable foundation, RGA is able to support numerous organizations’ work on causes that advance our purpose.
Among the programs receiving funding are: Frimley Health Charity’s Little Stars in the U.K.; FoodForward in South Africa; Satoyama Pioneers in Japan; and Dignity Ltd. in Australia. In addition to grants, RGA employees will be volunteering with many of the 50 organizations, and we will share these inspiring stories.
In closing, I’d like to bring attention to RGA’s 50th Anniversary website at www.rga50.com. There, you will see the giving we have committed to throughout 2023, and you can “spin the globe” to find many of the charitable locations. You can also follow our donations and 50th Anniversary celebration through #RGA50 on LinkedIn.
